Description
A fine 19th century cast bronze torchere inspired by classical Roman discoveries of the 18th and 19th centuries. The circular top supported on a sphinx’s head, raised on a tapered fluted column, the capital hung with swags of flowers, the base supported on three zoomorphic cast bronze legs raised on gilt pads and issuing from the stem base interspersed with cast anthemions.
