The vivid inlaid ebonised black inlay seen on the present pair of window seats relates directly to drawings and tracings of ‘Tracings by Thomas Wilkinson from the designs of the late Mr George Bullock 1820′  held at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. George Bullock probably employed Thomas Wilkinson whose designs appear throughout Bullock’s recorded examples of furniture.
