17th Century Salt Glazed South China Sea Pottery Storage Jar


A rare 17th-century utility salt glazed storage vessel, the rim slightly turned, above broad shoulders of the body. Three typical loops around the circumference for securing a seal, the body tapers to a flat base. Throughout a dark patina with areas of umbers and green showing through.
