Bronze with a black-brown patina The original is approx. 63 cm high and was found in excavations in Pompeii in 1862 The smaller than life-size bronze statue shows a young man with strikingly soft body shapes, except for the animal skin (nebris) hung around the left shoulder, an ivy wreath in his hair and lace-up boots, he stands naked. His gaze is down to the right directed, right hand raised a little with an outstretched index finger.
