An exceptionally fine pair of early 19th century Empire period cast bronze and gilt bronze candlesticks, each with a triangular bases with raised chased work and applied classical ornament, supporting finely cast winged female figures holding gilt rings from lion masks fitted to the drip pans, each with gilt nozzles with neo classical and richly chased eagles in high relief.
