An empire bronze and gilt opaline night light

A rare and unusual Empire night light or incense burner. The pierced bronze lid is surmounted ny a gilt bronze owl. The campagna form of the body is frosted opaline and supported on a gilt and bronze base, the stem and foot and also in gilt bronze and slightly dished to hold matches.
