George I Gilt Gesso Girandole

A fine early 18th century gilt gesso wall mirror, the frame with shells at the apex and apron, raised burnished strap work and scrolling vines on a contrasting stamped ground. Retaining its original mirror plate. The girandole fitted with two brass swivel candle arms.
