- The Master Of The Langmatt Foundation Views is an artist whose work is recognized through the collection of 13 works held at Swiss Langmatt Foundation in Baden.
- The artist is believed to be Apollonio Domenichini, who joined the Fraglia (Guild) of Venetian painters in 1757. Through his contact Giuseppe Maria Sasso the artist supplied a large number of his architectural vedute to the English collector John Strange. No known works are signed.
- The artist perfectly captures the scene with the full breadth of the Piazza San Marco spanning the full width of the canvas, creating a sense of immense scale. Numerous elegantly dressed and masked figures interact in multiple meetings with a larger gathering in the centre.
