A rare and very fine 19th Century Napoleonic era Sèvres Porcelain and ormolu Mantel Clock the richly chased ormolu gilt bronze body inset with 11 panels of Sèvres porcelain with floral scenes, birds and figures within blue celeste borders and the clock face with Roman Numerals, each porcelain panel signed verso.

Sèvres Porcelain and ormolu Mantel Clock with a body made of ormolu gilt bronze, which is richly chased or intricately decorated. The body of the clock is inset with 11 panels of Sèvres porcelain, which feature floral scenes, birds, and figures, bordered with blue celeste. The clock face has Roman numerals, and each porcelain panel is signed on the back (verso).

The clock’s movement, numbered 1936, features a bell striking mechanism and is stamped with the monogram ‘LAGARDE a Pari’, indicating it was made by Lagarde in Paris. The clock also has a Brocot escapement, which is a type of escapement mechanism used in clocks that was invented by Antoine Brocot in the 19th century.
