Mid-Century Maroon Parchment & Chrome Ice Bucket
By Aldo Tura, Italy, c. 1960

A striking mid-century ice bucket by celebrated Italian designer Aldo Tura, renowned for his luxurious use of lacquered parchment and bold, sculptural forms. This example is crafted as a clean geometric block, clad in richly toned maroon parchment with its characteristic mottled surface and deep, atmospheric colouring. The top is fitted with a contrasting chrome lid and finial, lending a crisp modernist accent to the warm, organic parchment finish.

The interior is lined for practical use, while the exterior remains a refined decorative object typical of Tura’s glamorous 1950s–60s aesthetic.

Dimensions:
Height: 23.0 cm
Width: 23.0 cm
Depth: 18.0 cm

Condition:
Good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use to the parchment surface and metalwork, presenting beautifully overall.

A fine example of Tura’s highly collectible work—both functional and sculptural, and a stylish addition to any bar or mid-century interior.
