England, circa 1820

Height (Framed): 44.5 cms (17.5 ins)
Width (Framed): 53.5 cms (21 ins)

Dilston Hall was once the home of James Radclyffe, the third Earl of Derwent-Water, who was executed for his involvement in the Jacobite rising of 1715. The property was later inherited by his brother, Charles Radclyffe, who also participated in the rebellion and was subsequently executed for treason. Dilston Hall was eventually sold to the Earl of Northumberland and was later demolished in the late 18th century.
