An exceptional 19th-century marquetry occasional table, the top exhibiting a highly sophisticated and intricate marquetry scene with highly figured and contrasting woods. Depicting a fountain and architectural scene, with court figures walking among fountains. The top within a gilt bronze serpentine border, above a frieze, finished in the round, with a single handleless drawer with further marquetry, the curved cabriole legs inset with ebonised fielded panels and mounted with gilt bronze rococo mounts with floral detail, the feet with gilt bronze mounts.
