An incredible 17th century tooled leather traveling writing box, the exterior profusely tooled and gilt with fine detailed borders around a central Ducal Coronet and the initials F.B. The interior opening to fitted interior for pens and accoutrements with marbled paper. The tooled lids interior in superb condition. Retaining the original escutcheon and hinges. Later bun feet.
