American Mid-Century Brass Table Lamp

A finely proportioned American mid-century brass table lamp, the slender baluster-form stem rising from a stepped circular foot and incorporating a series of broad drip-pan motifs inspired by traditional candlesticks. Executed in spun and polished brass, the lamp combines classical detailing with the clean, restrained lines characteristic of mid-century American design. The warm brass surface has acquired a mellow patina, enhancing its sculptural quality and reflecting light beautifully. Likely dating from the 1950s–1970s, the form recalls the work of American makers such as Stiffel, who popularised elegant brass lighting rooted in classical and colonial revival influences during the mid-century period. 

Presented with a later turquoise silk shade with contrasting trim.
