Mid Century Wall Lights

This pair of French eglomisé gilt glass and two-tone gilt-metal two-light wall lights are stunning examples of lighting design, reminiscent of the style of Maison Baguès. Maison Baguès, known for its sophisticated and luxurious lighting creations since 1860, has a longstanding reputation for exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail.

These wall lights feature eglomisé gilt glass, which refers to a technique of gilding and painting on the reverse side of glass. The combination of eglomisé gilt glass and two-tone gilt-metal creates a visually captivating contrast, adding depth and richness to the design.

One of the standout features of these wall lights is the series of six cut glass husks of wheat arranged in a fan shape. This decorative element adds style and organic beauty to the lights, enhancing their overall aesthetic appeal.

Measuring at a height of 14 1/8 inches, these wall lights are of a reasonable size, suitable for various interior settings. They are designed to provide a two-light source, offering both functionality and a warm, ambient glow to the room.

As in the manner of Maison Baguès, these wall lights exhibit the brand’s commitment to traditional techniques and artisanal workmanship. The hand-assembled construction emphasizes the elegance and excellence that Maison Baguès is known for, creating lighting fixtures that are both visually stunning and meticulously crafted.

These wall lights, with their eglomisé gilt glass, two-tone gilt-metal, and decorative cut glass husks of wheat, embody the savoir-faire and luxurious aesthetic associated with Maison Baguès. They exemplify the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship, beauty, and harmony in their designs.
